About The Event

LISTENING WITH YOUR WHOLE BEING. SPEAKING FROM YOUR DEEPEST AUTHENTICITY.

We are inviting you on a journey of direct experiencing, sensing and being – witnessing the mystery of existence reveal itself through the Dyad enquiry practice (meditation in pairs). The mindful awareness of a practice partner increases the ability to stay present and in the moment. Allowing the inquiry to go deeper and for moment to moment awareness to be sustained for longer. Many people who struggle with staying focused during conventional meditation practice, have experienced unbroken awareness for periods of 5 minutes and more when doing the Dyad practice. It is not only a method to strengthen awareness, but also to deepen interpersonal connection, and enjoy more loving compassionate relationships.

In this retreat individual and group processes will be alternated with periods of individual reflection and quiet contemplation.

Dates: Tuesday (evening) 14th April 2020 – Friday (lunch) 17 April 2020 Venue: Ixopo BRC KwaZuluNatal Cost: 3 nights accommodation + R350

Facilitators: Nicholas Burnand and Sarah Dekker (CNVC Certified Trainers at Language that Works South Africa and Belgium).

Perched on a ridge at the head of a valley in the Umkomaas river system in KwaZulu-Natal, the Buddhist retreat Centre looks out on a vista of indigenous valleys, forests and rolling hills receding like waves in the blue distance. Here, for more than twenty years people of all religions have come to experience peace and tranquillity. It is a gentle, sympathetic space where one can be still and get in touch with oneself and reflect on the things that crowd one’s life.  See https://www.brcixopo.co.za/ for more information.

We will start with dinner at 17:30 on the 14th April, but you’re welcome to arrive a little early at 16:00. We will end with lunch at 12:30 on the 17th April. All meals will be vegetarian. Let us know if you have special dietary requirements.

This workshop is for all levels from beginner to advanced.

Spaces are limited and booking is essential. Accommodation is booked via Ixopo Retreat Centre.
